Community Partnerships

E.I. McCulley recognizes the importance of a positive ongoing relationship with the larger community: neighbours, trades, businesses, industry, colleges, training facilities, social service clubs and agencies, municipal organizations and the police.

The Education Foundation of Niagara has been established to provide funding for projects designed to enhance learning opportunities, using new and creative approaches for students served by the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN). Funding supports many programs and initiatives provided by DSBN schools in areas of program enhancement grants, poverty and emergency relief and post-secondary educational support.

We are fortunate to have been been adopted for the 2010-2011 season, by the Niagara Ice Dogs "Adopt-A-School" program. Through this program, the school will have 2 tickets to each Ice Dogs home game, that will be awarded through various events and activities within the school.  If your child has won the tickets, a call home will be made to ensure that you are able to use them.

We also look forward to taking part in the Ice Dogs pre-game skate on December 9, 2010.  Our choir will be singing the national anthem for the start of that game as well.  We look forward to many of our families joining us for this big event!

Home Depot played a big role in the improvement of our school yard, in September of this school year.

Volunteers from "Team Depot" helped to refurbish our baseball diamond, and jumping pits.  Volunteers also completed building projects with each student in the school.  It was a great day to celebrate our E.I.McCulley spirit and share in the tremendous support of a great community partner.

Our Family Skate at the Ice Dogs Game (on Feb 18, 2010) was a HUGE success.  Families enjoyed a skate together before watching an EXCITING game.  Thanks to those community partners who helped to make it happen by donating skates and skate sharpening.  Students continue to benefit from the donation of those skates in order to participate in our 2 school skating trips to Merriton arena (February 24 and March 24, 2011)
